Courses

Teaching Winter 2016:

German 202: Intermediate German II

This intermediate-level course provides a review of key grammatical concepts while also increasing the students’ knowledge of German and Austrian culture and history. As part of the course, the students work on a research topic of their choice and eventually present (in German) on it to the class.

German 302: Advanced German II

For Winter 2016, this content-variable course is using the textbook Kunterbunt und kurz geschrieben as the basis for an advanced German conversation course. Students will continue to work on all four aspects of the German language (reading, writing, speaking, and listening), but with a considerable focus on speaking. In lieu of a final exam, students will complete a video project at least 20 minutes in length on a topic/scenario of their choosing.
